Chin augmentation improves the appearance of the chin, makes it fit in with the other facial features and the patient acquires a more harmonious profile. The transplant is made with silicone implants; for each patient the appropriate size is being selected.

Chin augmentation is often combined with rhinoplasty for the optimum proportions of the face to be achieved.

The placement of the silicon implant is made through a small incision in a natural skin crease under the chin. The implant is positioned directly over the bone of the lower jaw and the housing, in which it is positioned, has the same dimensions to those of the silicon, to prevent any displacement of the implant. The procedure takes about 1 hour.

The patient takes antibiotics for one week. There is no pain and the swelling is very mild. There are no restrictions in diet from the first day after surgery.
